Fly-fishing dorados in Argentina

Fishing dorados in Corrientes province is an activity that has become popular trough the seasons. Mostly fyfishing dorados in its marshes, streams and rivers surounded by an exhuberant virgin vegetation. The dorado is, without any doubt the best known fish in Argentina and is the chosen one when organising a fishing trip for locals and for foreign anglers too.

Many think the dorado is popular due to its golden colour that becomes more intense when the fish jumps and reflecs the rays of the sun. But it is also attractive because it's a predator and, therefore naturaly aggressive.

The dorado is a great hunter with an aggressiveness with which few fishes can compete. This turns it into an opponent worthy to compete. It is known as the tiger of rivers and it is considered one of the top 20 sport fifes of the world.

Angling dorados has been practised in the region for many years and now flyfishing dorados is becoming popular in the Moconá Jumps, the Iberá marshes, Goya and the environs. The region, surounded by the Parana and Uruguay rivers lodges units of up to 25 kilos.
